A minimal CSS framework. Very much a work in progress.

Chalkboard CSS

This is the beginnings of a custom CSS framework I've wanted to write for a while.

colours

The default pastel-colour palette is inspired by the material colour palette. It includes a rainbow of beautiful pastels, mimicking a coloured chalkset one might find by a blackboard.

grid

Chalkboard css uses a simple responsive 12-column grid framework for building layouts.

The number of available columns decreases as the screen-width becomes smaller, so on a small screen width, .c4 becomes equivalent to .c1.

Setup an example grid with:

<div class="row">
    <div class="col c6">
    </div>
    <div class="col c4">
    </div>
    <div class="col c2">
    </div>
</div>

compilation

Chalkboard uses Sass! To compile this project, run

sass chalkboard.scss chalkboard.css

or use a precompiled development or minified version under releases (coming soon).
